Why is an aluminum boat trailer better than steel?
Unlike steel, aluminum is inherently resistant to rust and corrosion, and it needs no paint or galvanization. Steel trailers not only require painting, but tubular frame construction has been known to rust undetected from the inside, which can result in frame breakage and load damage. Aluminum is stronger than steel and will not weaken because of rust and corrosion.
